Choose a phone connection

Understand Helios internet access, paired Wi-Fi and USB without guessing what each can do.

Use the least setup needed

  1. Helios checks the selected phone and the capability your task needs. Native permitted features can use the Helios internet connection.
  2. Computer backup and developer services can use a previously trusted, paired phone on reachable Wi-Fi, on Windows or Mac. Wi-Fi alone does not establish trust.
  3. Other-app automation requires a prepared, signed helper and verified readiness. LocalDevVPN is temporary, not a general backup relay.
  4. If the wireless route is unavailable, Helios asks for USB, unlock or trust using a chat request. Some developer preparation and signing may still require a Mac.

First-time setup

The optional phone-control guide covers pairing/trust, Developer Mode and its restart, the signed helper, connection choice and a readiness check. Clicking Continue does not grant an OS permission or prove automation works.

Built-in VPN integration remains disabled. Availability depends on the installed helper, signing, OS version and current connection. USB is the fallback for many tasks, not a universal requirement.

Example request

Use my phone to check this app. First check which connection and permissions are available. If you need me to connect, unlock or share my screen, show me a request in this chat.

Your screen may differ by platform and version. Check availability or get help.
