Chat and Work

Choose the right place for a question, project or computer task.

Reviewed 6 October 2026 · 2 min read

Import example project ↗Two named conversations, shared files, revisions and a preview.

Choose a mode

Use Chat for personal conversations, research and everyday requests. Use Work when you want a project plan, files, previews and development checks to stay together.

Computer tools can be relevant in either mode. Asking about a computer is different from asking Helios to change it. State the action and device explicitly.

  1. Open the mode that matches the task.
  2. For existing work, reopen its project conversation rather than an unrelated empty thread.
  3. Provide the relevant screenshots, files or links.
  4. When changing direction, state the new goal and which previous decisions remain.

Try this

Example request

On my Windows desktop, inspect why this project fails to start. Read the error and relevant files first. Fix the cause, run the startup check, and explain what changed.

Check the result

  • The project and computer match your intention.
  • Ordinary personal questions do not need a project.
  • Tool use follows the computer’s access settings.

Keep conversations useful

Separate unrelated large tasks so requirements remain easy to find. If project content appears in an empty personal chat, record the version and reproduction steps; do not assume that content belongs there.

Your screen may differ by platform and version. Check availability or get help.
